The Line Umalas | A Luxury 5BR Design Villa in Bali

The Line is a private residence defined by thoughtful interiors, natural materials, and a calm, immersive ambience.

Conceived as a collection of distinct yet connected spaces, the villa unfolds through dramatic volumes, curated details, and a layered balance between openness and retreat. Every bedroom and bathroom has been individually composed, ensuring no two spaces feel the same.

Natural marble, travertine, bespoke finishes, and immersive entertainment spaces bring warmth, character, and depth throughout the home.

From spatial flow to material selection, every detail has been intentionally considered to create a stay that feels both elevated and effortless.

Created for families and groups of up to 13 guests seeking a more refined stay in Bali, The Line balances thoughtful design, craftsmanship, and effortless comfort in the heart of Umalas.

Five individually composed ensuite bedrooms define the villa, each articulated through its own material language, spatial rhythm, and atmosphere.

Sleeping arrangements include 3 King beds (180 × 200 cm) and 2 Super King beds (200 × 200 cm), both located within the two master suites. One master suite also includes a built-in single bed, with additional single bed configurations available across both master bedrooms for flexible group living.

The ground floor bedroom introduces a Japanese-inspired sensibility, defined by simplicity and material storytelling. Furniture crafted from recycled chopsticks forms a defining design gesture within the space. The ensuite bathroom extends into a private outdoor shower conceived as a minimal zen garden, offering a calm and intentional shower experience.

Upstairs, the two master bedrooms function as expansive private suites designed for comfort, space, and privacy. Both are anchored by Super King beds and ensuite bathrooms with freestanding bathtubs. Marble and travertine finishes define the material character of the bathrooms, bringing depth, warmth, and a spa-like atmosphere.

The two upper-level double bedrooms each express distinct chromatic and material identities. One is composed around a grey tonal palette, featuring a marble-clad ensuite bathroom, warm timber slat detailing, and a private balcony. The other adopts a more immersive monochromatic approach, combining green tiles and limewash within a unified surface language, also paired with timber slats and a private balcony oriented toward the surrounding landscape.

Across the villa, each bedroom is treated as an individual composition, unified by a consistent attention to proportion, materiality, and detail.

At the heart of the villa, a spacious open-plan living area connects the kitchen and indoor dining space. Defined by openness, volume, and material clarity, this central space functions as the social core of the home, ideal for dining, conversation, and shared time together.

Full-height openings extend the living area onto the outdoor terrace, where a 41 sqm private pool anchors the outdoor experience. Designed for relaxed living, the pool features a shallow sun shelf for lounging and integrated in-water seating, creating a resort-style atmosphere within a private villa setting in Bali.

The outdoor spaces are arranged as layered living and entertainment zones, centred around shaded lounge areas and an alfresco dining setting designed for private chef-led BBQ dinners beneath the open sky.

Indoor and outdoor workspaces are integrated across both levels of the villa, offering environments suited to focused work, reading, or quiet retreat while maintaining connection to the surrounding landscape.

Across the villa, the architecture prioritises flow, light, and spatial clarity, allowing each space to support different rhythms of daily living.

Life at The Line is shaped by a balance between connection, privacy, and slow tropical living.

Mornings unfold through quiet routines — coffee beside the pool, natural light moving through open living spaces, and moments of focus within the villa’s indoor and outdoor workspaces. Throughout the day, the architecture supports different rhythms of living, allowing spaces to shift naturally between shared experiences and individual retreat.

The villa’s entertainment spaces are designed for more immersive evenings. A private cinema room and bespoke entertainment area provide a quieter setting for movie nights, conversation, or retreat after days spent exploring Bali.

Outdoor living remains central to the experience. Time moves easily between the pool, shaded lounge areas, and heated jacuzzi, creating an atmosphere shaped by openness, warmth, and relaxed tropical living.

Positioned in the heart of Umalas, The Line offers close access to both Seminyak and Berawa while maintaining the atmosphere of a quieter residential setting. Beaches, cafés, restaurants, wellness studios, and beach clubs are all within easy reach, allowing guests to move effortlessly between retreat and exploration.

Designed for families, groups, and longer stays, The Line combines privacy, comfort, and lifestyle within one of Bali’s most connected neighbourhoods.
